It was early December when Mom called to tell me my brother Jim had been rushed to the hospital. 'You better come,' she said. Jim was in the ICU following emergency surgery to repair a rupture that had caused massive internal bleeding. His condition was grave and we were scared we might lose him. I asked his ICU nurse about playing the Sound Healing tape for Jim. She said it was okay as long as we used a battery-powered tape player. At the end of each visit, we'd turn the tape on so Jim could hear it, even though he was unconscious at the time. He was home before Christmas.
