Gary Renard

This interview features Gary Renard, author of Disappearance of the Universe and Your Immortal Reality. Gary brings a fresh perspective and understanding to The Course in Miracles. With the current acceleration of planetary and personal karma, we have an opportunity to move to a new higher level of awareness about our nature and the universe.

The Course in Miracles shows us that the world we see merely reflects our own internal frame of reference—the dominant ideas, wishes and emotions in our minds. "Projection makes perception" (Text, p. 445). We look inside first, decide the kind of world we want to see and then project that world outside, making it the truth as we see it. We make it true by our interpretations of what it is we are seeing. If we are using perception to justify our own mistakes—our anger, our impulses to attack, our lack of love in whatever form it may take—we will see a world of evil, destruction, malice, envy and despair. All this we must learn to forgive, not because we are being "good" and "charitable," but because what we are seeing is not true. We have distorted the world by our twisted defenses, and are therefore seeing what is not there. As we learn to recognize our perceptual errors, we also learn to look past them or "forgive." At the same time we are forgiving ourselves, looking past our distorted self-concepts to the Self That God created in us and as us.

    I don't have the ACIM yet. I read the lessons in the Oprah website posted by Marianne Williamson. But today I had many aha! moments while listening to Gary. Tomorrow I'll buy Gary's book and ACIM, and will immediately start doing the course and read Gary's book along . Now I feel that it is the right time to "go back Home", because I can't stand anymore some feelings of resentment, anger, self-pitty, guilt and all that garbage. IT IS TIME!!! Thank you for your wonderful interviews,and keep them coming!!!

    Great interview. I agree that the timing has been perfect for me. ACIM has been on my bookshop for years and I pick it up and put it down. However, I have been impulsed to start again and Gary Renard as well as Larry Seyer (Larryseyer.com) have been most influential. Thanks again Kelley for your service!

    How the heck do you do it? Your topics are spot on! There is so much stuff out there that is not very good but you seem to hone in on the relevant and interesting with your interviews. With the exception of just a couple of the interviews I have listened to, I end up going and buying the book and listening to it. You really save me a lot of time in finding good stuff and do a terrific job interviewing.

    I find it ever so perfect that you interviewed Gary because I was introduced to the course through Gary's book and 2nd because I have introduced many course students at Gary's workshops to your cd's. I always promote Prayer because it focuses on forgiveness and works fabulously! I cry, release, and feel fantastic every time I listen to it. So thank you Kelly! I have been studying a course now for several years and I am much more at peace than I was prior to studying it. You may not think that peace is a big deal, but I can promise you having peace of mind is far greater than anything else I have experienced in this seemingly lifetime. The world around me hasn't changed rather my perception of it has. Gary and his books were the catalyst for this inner peace so props to you Gary!

    The course is a radical path that works. It may not be the easiest but the peace I feel today compared to a few years ago, even a few weeks ago is amazing. I strongly recommend Gary's book, Disappearance of the Universe, to anyone that is a course student or wants to learn more about it. It is the can opener to A Course In Miracles.     What a great interview! A Course in Miracles rocks :) The lessons for me have followed a "natural" progression. More times than not, I've been right where the next lesson wants me to be. And later I've realized "oh, that's what that earlier lesson was for". I had a lot of resistance and judgement about what Gary's book and ACIM was trying to teach - a lot of ego resistance. It has been a very rewarding experience. I absolutely love your meditations Kelly and I've created my own audio meditations centered around The Course's concepts (lessons). So, for me this interview has been exceptionally enjoyable! Mahalo

    I always enjoy Gary's work, whether it's an interview or one of his two books.

    He provides, imho, the best, simplest, and most accurate introduction to A Course In Miracles out there.

    Well worth listening to.
