I have interviewed a lot of amazing people in the last few years, but this one truly amazed me. I felt paradigms shifting as I spoke with Byron Katie, Author of Loving What Is. The conversion experience that she had, which clearly must have been an enlightenment of some sort, comes through her, even as we spoke on the phone, thousands of miles apart.

I hope it comes through to you too on this podcast. She is an extraordinary woman with a clear and simple approach to shattering illusions.

In 1986, Byron Katie had an awakening that led to a powerful yet simple technique to purge the mind of beliefs that cause us to suffer. Her process is called The Work. Through The Work, anyone can learn to identify, question and turn around thoughts that cause suffering. Katie teaches that all the problems in the world originate in our thinking…and she gives us a very effective tool to open our minds and set ourselves free.

    I love these (Theatre of the Mind) podcasts and feel that they alone are a great service to listeners/seekers. Unfortunately this one in particular with 'Katie' was extremely hard to listen through to the end of the interview. Her message was clear. Most of us believe and are under the influence of our own misguided thoughts not others. I too seek to change that within the confines of my own mind. But her technique was not so clear. Her voice and manner of speaking, unlike the previous comment of another listener, was anything but soothing to me. If anything I felt on edge while listening. I know, that is my reaction, and I did listen to the end to find out the 4 questions but only to quadruple the questions about the 4 questions. There are infinite ways to enlightenment (I hope). I will continue to seek and leave Byron Katie's for someone else.

    Hello Kelley! I'm a big fan of your work and after six months of listening to your programs (though I wish I practiced as much as you recommend), I have come leaps and bounds in my fitness, friendships, romances and even my manifestation abilities. Just yesterday I told my mom I wanted vegan chocolate from Whole Foods and guess what? Two minutes later, she was looking for a frying pan and she found a huge bar I bought awhile back in the kitchen drawer! I also listen to Theatre of the Mind religiously and look forward to new podcasts all the time, my favorites have been with Marc Allen, but I also love your others'. Byron Katie had an extremely soothing voice, and though I would like to comment on this insightful podcasts even more, I'm short on time and just wanted to tell you about my deep appreciation for your work and what its done for my life as a young, hopeful 16-year old.
